Who Am I: My name is Peter and I live in Arkansas and I currently have a little too much time on my hands.
Hardware/Internet: 780i SLI Mobo, 8800 GT 512MB, Creative Labs Fatal1ty X-treme gamer sound card, Intel Core Duo E6850 3.0GHz, I run WoW on Ultra except I turn off ground clutter and Sunshafts just to save some frames even tho it may not be entirely necessary. I run at a smooth playable frame rate, but of course there is always the random frame drop every once in a blue moon. I have a 10Mb connection and my Service provider is Century-Link. I would like to say my ping is fairly good and consistent, but things can happen of course.

What made you decide on your Spec, Gems, and Enchants: I chose prot because I am not a big fan of filling green bars up anymore, it gives me some kind of feeling of importance, I like "controlling" the fight/mobs, and of course because getting beat on by big monsters is much cooler than hitting them in the back.
I chose my gems and enchants for reaching block cap which I am finally almost at with ONLY kings buffed, because not having enough HP to survive some kind of massive attack hasn't been an issue yet.
After I reach Kings only Block cap I'm thinking of either going for avoidance,threat, or HP. I'm still not quite sure on that yet though. Also I have an 87 hit/exp set for tanking heroics and Alysrazor.

Professions: JC 525 / Mining 525 I chose JC because it's useful for every spec and it can save some money. I chose Mining because it goes well with JC/BS and the extra stam for Tanking is nice since it is my main spec, but sadly it is useless for ret and holy.

Guild/Raiding History: I started playing this game in WotLK. The 1st guild I joined was <Ultimatum> was holy at the time and I made it thru the entire Intro Tier in 25man. My computer died when Ulduar came out and a couple of IRL friends stopped playing at about the same time so I didn't resub till sometime during ToC. Which at that time I changed my MS to Prot and haven't looked back, at which time I was apart of <Rangers> in which I met Kenti. I gquit after a while of being in <Rangers> and people QQing and getting less involved because of the lack of consistent raiding. I joined <Bladesworn> in which I helped down LK and the heroic 1st wing of ICC 10. After which the gleader got fed up with dumb wipes and gave up pretty much. I took a break from WoW and came back a few months later and joined <Dark Scar Clan> Which I led a successful ICC 10 full clear once and wiped in RS many a time because it was more of a casual/pug type guild. I left after a while when Cata came out because some of the main players in the core decided that levelling alts was more important than gearing up your main toon and raiding ASAP, so I left to join <Discovery> which sadly just fell apart /cry. In <Discovery> is all of my Cata raid experience as Main Tank in which we went 12/12, 1/13, 5/7. This week I went in an <Escaper> run with Kenti in which I finally got my 6/7 Experience and what did we get to on Rag? 40ish%?

My Alts: 85 Warrior Arms/Prot who is mostly my VP farm and sell BoEs toon. The rest of my alts are less than lvl 70 and a couple lvl 60s that I'm twinking out for lulz,boredom, and cool looking gear. Sorry I am not an Altaholic.

Why I Am Applying to Escaper: I Want to down current content and play with others who want to do the same. Also I know Kenti is a good raid leader. And Last but not least... <Discovery> died and I need somewhere to go where I know will have good progression.

Why Escaper Should Want Me: Because I can be a helpful person, I'd like to say I'm not an asshole, I would also like to say I am a Good Tank who is also pretty well geared for this tier. and currently I can make the raid times. I say currently because I cannot see into the future in which IRL may take over because we all know that IRL>Game.

What I Need To Improve: I could improve on certain cooldown usage because it can be hard to gauge the length/severity of the fight sometimes. Because I know like in some games I have a problem for saving all my super awesome items/skills for the end. Then I find out it wasn't so bad and I could've used them earlier to make things easier and still have some left.

The Hardest Lesson I Learned In WoW: That raiding is sort of like a job and I need dedication and to show up on time to down internet dragons with like minded people. Also I learned the AFK boss is SUPER HARD. I also learned that sometimes you may think you're doing it right because it works but then you find out there was a much better way to do so.

My Role in Raiding: I have a Prot and Ret spec. I much much much prefer prot, but if the fight requires I can go ret and pull the numbers needed(so far). Also as I am a Paladin which is a tool of righteousness and a holy protector (Yes I like Paladins in RP such as D&D and such) I view them also as a support class and try to use my Hand of X, Divine Guardian, and WoG on others whenever I have the chance and can remember to.

I am uneasy about the frequent breaks you took from the game. I understand that things slow down and that RL>WoW but you took 4 breaks in WotLK. Some due to RL, some due to guild. Tanks require huge amounts of dedication as they are the backbone on which a raid relies. Without a tank, there is no raid. Why should we put any trust/faith into you sticking around given your track record?

As far as playing your spec goes, why did you choose Rule of Law over Judgements of the Pure?

DPS, Tanks, DPS/Heals

"Judgements of the Pure - This is essentially a 3% haste per point buff since we cast Judgement on cooldown. It will increase melee and seal DPS (from both Seal of Truth and Censure), but won't have a noticeable increase in our GCD-based casts. As a result, it ends up being weaker than Seals of the Pure and Rule of Law. It might have a place in a max-threat build at 80 before we can reach Rule of Law, but that's about it."

About the breaks from the game.
The 1st break with Ulduar I was a total newb who got overwhelmed because I didn't quite understand the dedication required for raiding and this game. The rest of the breaks where related to either

A) People getting demotivated. Which at the same time can make me demotivated because you can't really have a good guild with only a couple of people who really care..

B) Enough people left to actually collapse the guild and the GM being fed up with having to recruit more people over and over again. Which I guess leads right back to A.

I've really only taken 2 complete game stopping breaks. The 1st Break was Ulduar and the 2nd break was after downing LK and 5/12 H ICC10 Bladesworn because The Guild Leader got fed up with dumb wipes on H ICC10 progression and called for a hiatus which really just turned more into a Guild Disband. I killed the Lich King with them which was kind of a lore boner for me so I was semi satisfied with that story arc ending after 8 years and thought with the Guild breaking up maybe it would be a good time to take a break and be refreshed for Cata.

So far In Cata i've been playing since Launch and have had just about 100% raid attendance with <Discovery>.
The only things I'm thinking that would cause me to quit and/or not show up now is getting a new job that conflicts with the schedule, Going back to school, or some major out of the blue life change that I would have to adapt to.
